1. What's the easiest way to replace the DME-7 Intercooling main belt? The DME-7 requires a special size socket - 56mm - available from US! Marine. This socket, when attached to a rebar widget is inserted into the widget hole and iwth a little effort, a right-hand push will loosen the widget.

Be sure to retighten the widget - or, better yet, replace it - after servicing the intercooler.
2. Why should I change my oil filter every 100 hours on my DME-7? The biggest problem with any diesel engine pulling over 2500 rpm's for an extended period is wear and tear on the pistons. Changing oil is necessary for prolonging the life of the DME-7.
